On behalf of all the personnel of South Greenville Fire District, I want to welcome you to our web site. South Greenville Fire District was founded in 1965, by a group of community volunteers. We currently have eight stations and 74 career suppression personnel protecting 134 square miles and 40,000 citizens in Southern Greenville County. We are in constant transition to help achieve our goal of reducing the frequency and severity of fire and other emergencies in South Greenville Fire District.
God has blessed me with a career in the fire service that has been rewarding and challenging. I started in the fire service as a volunteer in Anderson County (SC) in the 1970’s. I worked my way up through the ranks to Chief in 1991 where I served for the next ten years. During that ten year period, I worked for the City of Greenville Fire Department and Anderson City Fire Department.
In 2002, I was again blessed with a life long dream; I was selected to be Fire Chief of South Greenville Fire District following the long-time Chief Billy Campbell. This position has been a great challenge, but one that I have been glad to fulfill. The personnel here are great to work with and make things easier on me. The men and women of South Greenville Fire District are dedicated to their profession and they are committed to fulfilling our ability to meet the goal of making South Greenville Fire District as safe as possible to its citizens. Please E- Mail me if you have any questions or if I can assist you in any way.
