Communications
South Greenville Fire District Communications (FIRECOM) is a 24-hour communications center located at our Headquarters station. FIRECOM handles calls for service for South Greenville Fire District, Piedmont Fire Department, Gantt District Fire Department, and the Greenville County Emergency Response Team. In 2020 a total of 6,820 calls for service were dispatched with four full time dispatchers, two part time dispatchers and a Communications Supervisor. South Greenville Fire District Communications shares computer aided dispatch (CAD) with agencies throughout Greenville County. This has allowed us the opportunity to reduce response times to calls for service. Radio communications is on the shared Greenville County PAL 800 MHz system.
